Q: Why did you choose Real Estate as a career?
PC:
I was going through a terrible divorce with two children, one under two and needed to make additional part time money. I thought real estate might be a good, flexible option.

Q: Do you specialize in certain types of properties?
PC:
Residential, but have dabbled in property management

Q: What do you think are the ingredients that keep you as a top Realtor year after year?
PC:
My greatest asset is compassion, been there, done that and honesty. I truly live by the Golden Rule

Q: Can you share with our audience your experience as President of Denver’s Women Council of Realtors?
PC:
Being President was so rewarding, both personally and professionally.  I grew tremendously in my leadership skills and confidence.  This position taught me to guide, work and mentor others. I just wish I would’ve found this organization earlier in my career. Additionally, I have made many lifelong friends across the Country.

Q: Obviously with Covid-19 there’s a lot of changes going on in the world … what changes have you seen that you feel will remain in Real Estate?  Do you think there will be more changes?
PC:
The biggest change I have seen is the difficulty in scheduling buyer showings, especially with the time limitations and trying to maintain the Covid safety protocol for myself and my buyers.  It has also become a huge challenge to do open houses. I’m hopeful that the buyer scheduling will continue after Covid-19, as this really gives our buyer’s the privacy when viewing homes and the sellers the ability to identify specific issues if they come up during their home selling process. As far as more changes, I’m sure we will have new things coming down the pike, but hopefully these will be changes for the better of both buyers and sellers.

Q: Can you tell us about the role your team Mascot plays in the company’s success?
PC:
Actually, my dog Finn being the mascot is really just a joke between my assistant and myself. The photo was used to give my website a little humor and levity.

Q: What's the greatest fear you've had to overcome to get where you are today?
PC:
My fear of being able to speak to just anyone on the street and in front of groups of people.

Q: What’s one lesson you’ve learned in your career that you can share with our audience?
PC:
Always treat people as you would like to be treated. You never know where they have been or what experiences they have had.

Q: Which woman inspires you and why?
PC:
Michelle Obama, she’s smart, strong and a great role model. She is a very influential women that sets a great example for young women.

Q: What are the best practices you have employed to build a successful career?
PC:
Respond quickly, even if you don’t have an answer. Set realistic expectations and always under promise but try to over deliver.
